ABOUT FILOS LEATHER GOODS
Filos is the word for "Friend" in Greek. In chapter 15 of John, Jesus tells us that He no longer regards us as "Doulos" which means "slaves" or "servants" but as "Friends." He also tells us that there is no greater act of love than laying down your life for another- something Jesus would be doing for you not long after telling these things to his disciples.

THE MAKER
My name is Alex and I love working with leather. My favorite thing about the material is seeing how it ages. We call it "Patina" or the character that leather gains as it is used. What's special about it is that each piece is unique to the user- Two people could start with two identical wallets but after some time, the wallets would look different according to how each person uses it. Leather ages gracefully and gets better with time, collecting scuffs and gently polishing in your pocket, ultimately telling the story of where it's been.. Kind of like a testimony...

THE FOX
On Christmas Eve of 2021, our son, Judah, went home to be with his Lord. During this time of mourning and grief we were comforted by the promises of scripture and the hope that we have in Christ. While our hearts were full, our arms were still empty so we clung to this stuffed fox that was given to us at Judah's baby shower. We named him Felix because it sounds like that Greek word, Filos.
